Welcome to the contest board.

Here, people can win model prizes by entering their work onto these threads and haveing it judged.

Basically, if you have any of the following:

Google SketchUp (judged on the 6th)
3DMax (Judged on the 26th)
Gmax (judged on the 1st)
Cinema 4D (judged on the 14th )
Ability to draw ships (judged on the 20th)

Then you should enter the contest. Just simply make a model, and post THREE PICTURES of it in the correct board (e.g. If I modelled it on SketchUp, I will post on the SketchUp contests) If you have a drawing of a ship then you need a scanner.

Do not touch the finals boards. These are for the winners of the months contests only. They will recvie instructions through their forum e-mail.

We always have 3 judges. If you want to apply for a monthly judge, then go to judge applications and make use of the help thread there.

MODELS THAT ARE MADE IN A MODELING POGRAM OR HAVE BEEN DRAWN CAN ONLY COMPETE WITH THE SAME TYPE OF MODELING METHOD (E.G SKETCHUP MODELS CAN ONLY COMPETE WITH SKETCHUP MODELS)

The idea of the contest is that, every month, the three judges pick the two best ships entered for the contest, and these modellers will have untill next month to create a new model of a ship to post in thefinals. These will be judged by the same judges (even though they will not be judgeing the normal contest any longer) and the winner gets a prize.

PRIZES:

1. Win the finals once and you get a SS NORMANDIE award (Great model designer!)
2. Win finals twice you get a Lusitania award (Facinateing ship planner!)
3. Win finals third time, you get a Britannic award (Super shipyard engineer!)
4. Win 4 times, you get a Olympic award (Excellent architect!)
5. And finally, the highest avatar, the fith time you get a TITANIC award. (Grand shipyard chairman!!!)
6. If you get anymore, tell me what ship you want to have. (Outstanding designing captain!!!!)

These awards are avatars, that you can display on here and the official forum to show how good you are. If someone ries to copy them, then they will be banned.

Q. WHY THREE PICTURES?
A. We want to see how detailed your ship is, and how easy (but complex) it is to understand. The main things we want to see are the Stern and the Bow.

Judges need to atleast have enterd the contest once to start judgeing. They do not need to be mods.
